was just surfing around the blogging community yest to get some ideas for the new look on my blog (nari u're going to have to teach me yah..) and i came across this interesting blog; mostly the blogs i came across were done by the lil punk ass kids (13 - 15 year olds) lamenting about love lost and what nots. anyways here's the address for the blog:

there's another one but i don't think it's nice to advertise it.. some blog about someone who enjoys being a sex worker or something like that. highly bizarre and quite a bit sleazy... and there was this one post where she actually linked pics of her 'tropical fruit' (wayyyy downnn south) and yes i actually read some of the posts.. i was bored what can i say?

i thot the i hate my flatmate blog was really funny in a very bitchy kinda way (we all have our inner bitch don't deny!) and the pics she/he (but i guess it's a she cos it's so like girls to do tht) uses to encapsulate the entry for the day is so apt. so go take a look ard just for the fun of it.

oh yeah.. there's this film that my asian studies lecturer showed us last wed and it really left such an impression on me. it's an old docu (ard 1995) called HELL BENTO and it's about the underground culture of japan.. which isn't really underground if u think about it. i dunno how to explain but watch the docu and u'll understand. and for those of u who thot japan is about all the salarymen with their neat lil suits and briefcases going home to their nice like urban flats, with a nice hot meal prepared by their vey japanese wifves and 2 lil polite japanese kids. u HELL WRONG! this film wld probably surprise u! (shock wld be too strong a word i feel) and i just realised that the YAKUZAs are damm damm cool man! if u can, go watch it.. and the imagery is really apt!

anna/adam broinowski: do you use guns?

yakuza A: yes we do.

anna/adam: where do you get them from?

yakuza A: we used to buy them from america and russia but we can't now.

anna/adam: what do u use now?

yakuza A (calmly): we borrow them from the americans (i think) now....

me (in my head) : WHAT THE??????? how cool is that man!!!! they're so calm about it..

the yakuzas are really damm freaking cool... i wanna be a YAKUZA!! but now i have heaps of readings which i shall have to do it now... sucks being a student....
